What Hippocrates Said
Hippocrates was a Greek nutritionist, physician, and surgeon who lived 400 years before Jesus Christ was born. He is considered "The Father of Medicine." He completely layed out ten rules which have been largely ignored by the medical profession to date:
1. The natural way is the only way!
NOTE: This should be an obvious medical pursuit, according to Mother Nature and Hippocrates.
2. Treat the cause of an illness, not the symptom!
NOTE: Modern synthetic drugs just mask the illness, but never deal with the origin.
3. Look to the spine for illnesses!
NOTE: Hippocrates strongly suggested this — modern day chiropractic treatment!
4. Throw away your drugs and heal the people with food!
NOTE: Hippocrates knew that food had health giving qualities — now known as protein, vitamins, and minerals.
5. Most illnesses can be prevented by eating natural foods!
NOTE: The majority of foods American consume are processed, refined, overcooked, denuded, chemicalized, and grown in mineral-depleted soil.
6. A healthy colon is essential!
NOTE: The U.S. Government reports that colon problems are dramatically increasing in America.
7. Do not administer dangerous and harmful drugs!
NOTE: The F.D.A. admits that prescription drugs kill from 50,000-350,000 people a year in America.
8. Do no harm to your patients!
NOTE: The New England Journal of Medicine reports that the end of most drug therapy is harmful side effects.
9. Do not perform surgery for money!
NOTE: The U.S. Government reports that 75% of all surgeries in this country are unnecessary.
10. The word "protein" means "most important!"
NOTE: Hippocrates named protein as the most essential food we should consume as the greater percentage of our bodies is comprised of it. Carbohydrates are secondary.

The Doctor of the Future
"The doctor of the future will give little medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet, and in the case and prevention of disease."
Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison's vision for the "Doctor of the Future" is coming to pass. People today are aware of their lifestyle issues and are interested in taking responsibility for theor own health. Now they are seeking information on health and strategies for disease prevention. They realize that being an active participant, in collaboration with their health care providers, is the means to fulfilling their quest for optimal health.
This emerging health care model recognizes a redefined doctor/patient partnership, and places an increased emphasis on the importance of nutrition in both the preventative and functional medicine paradigms. The "Doctor of the Future" relies on proven principles from the nutritional sciences to support the physiological aspects of wellness.
